Special Meeting
The Board of Selectmen held a Special Meeting at 5:00 PM on Monday, 6 January 2014 in the Meeting Hall of the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder, Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal and Selectman Skip Sibley, Board of Finance Chair Andy Russell and Finance Director Nicole Stajduhar were present.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the initial FY 2015 budget requests.
Finance Director Nicole Stajduhar reviewed each of the department requests and highlighted the areas of change from prior budgets. There were several questions from the Selectmen and comments regarding the budget requests. Ms. Stajduhar explained that she encouraged departments to get all of their requests onto the budget, so that the Boards of Selectmen and Finance understand the needs and wants of the department heads. There will be opportunity to have some department heads come to the Board of Finance meeting and speak to their department goals and needs.
Selectman Sibley moved to adjourn the special meeting at 7:20 PM. Selectwoman Nosal seconded the motion. SO VOTED.
